This is my sister's ex boyfriend. He messaged my mom this. 1st of all, I want to point out he never claimed my niece or even asked how she was doing. Never asked my sister how her c section went and if she was healing up good. My sister always sends him pictures of their daughter. He seems them and never replies back. They serve him with child support papers. Well they got sent to him. Anyway, and this is his response. The least he could do is pay child support. She is only asking $170 a month. When she could be asking more. He comes from a very rich family. He was also so quick to move on from my sister. And now has another girl pregnant. I see what he is trying to do terminate my sister's parenting rights so he doesn't have to pay any child support. Like I said before he's never even claimed their daughter or asked how she was doing. Or anything related to her. He only only wants to take my niece away so he can keep his money. My question is there anything I could do about this to help my sister? I don't want my niece to get taken away. She's in a very loving home right now.
Funny how he things $170 is so much to give for a child he hasn't even taken the time know. Does he think she'll be free if he takes her?? 😂 if he strips her of her parental rights (which takes years) he's now solely financially responsible for the child .. what an idiot lol
And as long as your sister and him weren't married she legally has 100% custody in the eyes of the law until court papers are issued stating otherwise
Since he hasn't shown interest in the child, most likely standard visitation is all he could get until doing : a background check, parenting classes, mental wellness check, "house check" and SO much more. The only way he would be able to "take her" away completely would be if your sister was found an unfit mother which is REALLY hard to do.
Child support and custody are two separate cases. If there are no custody papers then child support is set to the maximum since it's assumed that he doesn't spend anytime with the child.
She's entitled to ALOT more that $170/month
Try more like $500/month
@sarahmartinez817 thank you for replying! :) No they don't split custody. She has their daughter full time. My mom is the one who buy her baby's bottles and diapers. He has never even taken the time to see her. Now he is threatens to take her away so he keep his pretty pennies. I'm so glad you told me he won't win this case just because he used to work at a daycare. I told my mom to tell him let's go to court. He's an unfit and deadbeat father. Yes I hope my sister gets the money she deserves too. :) Thanks for the advice
Does your sister have full or majority custody right now? If so, she is entitled to child support in most (if not all) states.
If he tries to file for full custody, he would need a lot more than working at a daycare to win that case. He would need to prove that your sister is an unfit mother, which is pretty hard to do, especially against a mother.
At best he would get an order to split custody, but if he's never shown an interest in the child before I don't know why he would want that, and he could still end up owing child support if it's less than a perfect 50/50 custody split (though that is different in each state, so it would be best for your sister to do some research on custody and child support laws in your state, usually that info is available on the state government website).
He sounds like he's bluffing to get her to back off, what a useless POS. I hope she gets every cent of child support she's asking for!
Some "Daddies" have so much to say but don't do anything for their children. What's $170 a month for his child?. Nothing!. I hope it all works out-Be positive and document everything he tells you and your family. Keep receipts of everything your sister buys for your niece. I was given this advice by my coworker-hope it helps. God Bless you and your family💕
I told him the only reason why you took care of those kids in preschool is because you got paid. And that you can't even give any money or buy anything for your daughter.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

I need some help/knowledge on child support and taxes?! Her father pays child support monthly.. My daughter lives with me, I haven't filed my taxes yet. I'm planning on doing it this weekend.
My ex just texted me and said - "Hey my dad is doing my taxes for me and he needs ur social security number n your full name, cause I need to claim back some of the taxes from the child support. And he said u can still claim Mia it won't affect it he already asked the tax people. So if u can send it over ...

is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know
the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
What's wrong with a Bumbo?
I am visiting my in-laws for Mothers Day and I brought my daughters Bumbo along for the trip. Well my in-laws just thought it was the coolest thing. DH's cousin is pregnant and her mom asks her, "did you see the baby's Bumbo chair?" and she snaps "yes!", and her mom asks "do you want one for the baby?" and she goes "NO! I will never use one of those for my child!" and then no one said anything else about it.
@jenella21 thanks so much! Appreciate it. :)
