Can the 8 month sleep regression come early? Bella is a little over 7 months but this whole week she's been up at night for more then an hour at a time....and today we've been up since 4.of course she's back to sleep now....I'm drinking my coffee and getting ready for work. Ugh I'm at such a loss with her sleeping...she's been sleeping through the night since about 4 months old. I just can't deal 😭😭😭😭I feel like I have a newborn all over again! Maybe it's teething. Smh idk I'm just so crabby lately ugh prayers for my strength please ladies!
@dazzlingmommy he takes two naps most of the time. One in the morning and one at about 3.
@djcjej, If you don't already, have a nighttime routine and stick to it. Babies do better with routines sometimes so they know what to expect next. Also, make sure he gets plenty of play time during the day so by the evening comes, he's already feeling sleepy which will make the nighttime routine a breeze.
What are your son's naps like during the day?
@dazzlingmommy I've tried getting my son to sleep earlier but he refuses. What can I do because he usually goes to bed between 9 and 9:30?
Yes, my son started having sleep regression at 7 months. He just turned 8 months last week and I feel the same way. He keeps waking up throughout the night and doesn't want to stay in his crib.
@mdomke22, Oh man, that stinks. 😕
Well hopefully it's just the teething & it passes quickly! I know how tough it can be running on no sleep! Get yourself a large Dunkin' coffee 👌🏼 You deserve it!
Wish I could get her to bed earlier....I don't get off work til 630 so we don't get home and settled till like 715 then I have to feed my 2 year old. So I usually try and get her to bed by 8 or 830 the latest @dazzlingmommy
Forgot to add- a good bedtime is between 6:30-8pm.
I start getting some son ready for bed around 6ish and he's usually asleep by 7. He doesn't wake up until 6-6:30 the next morning
@mdomke22, Try getting her to bed earlier each day. I read in my sleep training book that an earlier bedtime will help them sleep better throughout the night because they aren't going to sleep over tired etc. Also having a nighttime routine will help her settle down and know that it's almost bedtime.
Teething is tough! I use the Nuby natural teething gel- it's safer than Orajel because of the risk of it numbing their throat. Tylenol will be your best friend here! Lol
Good luck mamma!!
@dazzlingmommy my first was A PRO teether....never fussed or anything..so this is all new to me
She's usually in bed by 9 or 930 depending on her last bottle @dazzlingmommy it's so hard to tell I mean she is teething really bad so that might be the reason.
@djcjej, Okay, What time does he wake from his second nap?
