It's because you have more blood vessels down there, and some that are being stretched to their max. And they break easily. It's totally normal!

@dalliesmama, hm I'm think that is normal, as well. Sex can definitely lead to cramping especially later in the pregnancy like where you are at. But definitely keep an eye on it tonight and make sure that you don't start having contractions. Call your ob tomorrow and ask to be sure!
