I would say he is slightly depressed. I have 6 nieces and nephews and they have never said that, even when they got introuble.

@brendamariex3 well he seen a therapist for almost a year and she seemed to think nothing was wrong with him! But no 9year old I know says things like that!

@christina_28086 .My oldest son is 21..my middle son is 14...so from my exp w boys.not common..at age 14 ish u get eye rolls back talk ..but..i think your son needs help someone he can feel safe to say why doesn't he think he is good enough to live in this world.awe my heart hurts to hear a child go thru internal pain.Many schools offer therapy that can help him realize he is loved.important and wanted

Hey I just wrote to my sister, she goes to bed early so she might not write back tonight. But I'll pm you right away when she does. She works with kids and their families from small issues to huge issues all day every day! So hopefully she'll be able to tell you whether it's normal or not, or if it sounds like depression. He may just be trying to get love from you since he knows he's in trouble. So try not to stress yet mama. I know it hurts when our babies are hurting.
