OK full term is 37weeks and I am so ready to get this baby out . there's just a lot going on and I just want to be able to provide for my son. My partner and I are separated and it looks like I'm doing this on my own. Why? Are men such babies , don't want to grow up

Well I'm 36 weeks but my son is measuring a week ahead of time

I say 38 weeks, which is what I was told with my first. Dr's told me I could expect to deliver anytime between 38 and 42 weeks and baby would be healthy.

@whitneybarwick 39 weeks sounds more accurate. Unless your baby is measuring ahead and that's why they said it for you. But in general I think it is 39 weeks. Otherwise, why is pregnancy 40 weeks then? 😯

It was recently changed by some obstetric commity that I can't remember the name of. They discovered the most crucial brain/nerve development time is in the last few weeks so they want women to stop trying to induce themselves before 39 weeks. That's what my nurse practitioner told me at least..

Why does Google say full term is 39 weeks?

Is it rude to not want anyone at the hospital?

Is it rude to not want anyone at the hospital? I was just informed that my MIL wants to be waiting at the hospital so as soon as I pop out the baby she can rush in to be with the baby. I am really a private person and dont really want anyone at the hospital when I give birth (except my husband). I was planning on calling all the family to come to the hospital once I was all cleaned up and ready for visitors. Am I being rude? How do I tell them I dont want visitors a minute after pushing out a baby?! I would like some private time for just my husband & I!
