@dianeparker061415 that sucks. i live in cali and i did it all in a few days. soon as my marriage license came in the mail the nxt day i changed everything super easily

What bothers me is my license was stolen LAST OCTOBER and I paid for a replacement a week after it happened. But I literally JUST got my replacement in the mail less than a month ago.. dealing with the DMV is such a pain, omfg

@katiibby oh boy is it ever. My husband is now asking me when I'm going to change my name all I can tell him is soon as I take my butt to California then I'll do it lol

There's two social security office's out here in Vegas. they keep sending me to one another. Like look all I need is my named changed damn it. It's been 3 year's almost 4 I think I'm going to just go to California and do everything there. Then have my mom send it up to me when it comes in the mail.

I got married and California. Basically I went and got married then went to social security showed them my marriage license, and ID, gave them the answer to my security question then asked to change my last name. They gave me a piece of paper to take to DMV. I took my birth certificate, old ID and the piece of paper from social security then asked to change my last name there. That's it.

u just need ur marriage license go to social security w that & get ur new card w ur new last name and then dmv w ur license and fill out a new drivers license or id form and now ur a mrs. everything takes a quick second especially if u have an appt at dmv and it takes less than 2 weeks for everything to come in the mail.

I think it works the same every where. You take your certified mariage liscense, and your birth certificate (and maby social security card) down to the social security office and theyll change it for you. Itll change imediately, and theyll send you a new social secuity card with your new name on it, then you take it to the dmv and get your liscense changed with your new name on it
