A large dog just attacked a small dog near the after school program at my sons school. Both of the dog owners stood and did nothing. I ran to try and intervene so none of the 20plus kids would get attacked and I fell. Luckily it was only on my knees. After I tried to pull the dog away two other people (not having anything to do with the dogs) jumped in and tried to help. Then the large dog ran towards the large group of children who were screaming. My poor baby boy was terrified. I'm having the worse stomach pains now and I feel emotionally exhausted. That poor dog was torn apart.

I am feeling a little better, just sore. I think the stress of the situation is what got to me.
@nessa614, I don't know. My son was screaming and there were lots of witnesses so I didn't stick around. The little looked pretty bad.
@torrey_, the only reason I did was to keep the big dog from getting loose and attacking the kids. I knew it seemed like a bad idea but my momma bear instincts turned on and I had to do something. My SO yelled at me for putting myself and the baby at risk but I couldn't help it.

I've heard that you weren't supposed to get into that when dogs are fighting.
However I don't think I could've watched a big dog tear up a little one.
