I had mine when I was about 32 weeks along. But I wanted to have it earlier like around 24 weeks

@ilovemychildren, ya I wanted to have mine In between 30 and 32 weeks and she goes usually people always have they're baby showers a month before they are due. You millennials think that you need it earlier blah blah blah. I was like things are different now a days it's not back in the day when you had kids and she's like no I don't think it's changed at all!!!

It's your baby shower. You should have it on the day YOU want it to be. I'm sure your mom can make it "convenient" when you give her no choice and set it on that date. It's so sad hearing such words from a mother. You're her child having her grandchild, she should always make time for your milestones.

@malainaheka23, yes but she says since she's planning it that it's up to her convenience. Cause most people have surprised showers and don't know the date anyways. I get she's planning it I do. And she says it's to save up more money but the only thing my mom and sister have to pay for is the cake and decor. The food and venue are free. But her date is only 2 weeks difference!

It's not just her planning it though, right? Your mother in-law and sister are planning it too. I read your other post and it just doesn't seem right for your mom to dictate your baby shower the way she is. Can't your sister or mother in law pay for the cake and decor if your mom is refusing to comply with you?

@malainaheka23, @malainaheka23, well my sister is the one hurting for money and she's the one doing the decor but she's going all out. I was like you don't have to go all out it's just a baby shower I don't mind simple but idk my mother in law is making the food and buying the tent and stuff but we'll see Saturday cause that's when they are getting together to finish all the planning. Sorry to talk a lot about it but I just want to vent because my boyfriend doesn't want to hear about it

lol it's no problem girl I totally understand the needing to vent. I'm stuck at home everyday doing absolutely nothing and don't really have any friends or anyone to talk to when my boyfriend is at work. 😅 I really hope everything works out for you and that your baby shower is everything you want it to be! In having mine almost a month before my due date only because were so busy and mine isn't going to be a surprise ive never heard of them being a surprise before.

I delivered the day of my baby shower. And it was at 36 weeks. So tell her sometimes it is better to have it earlier

@sawyersmom, right and last time I delivered my kids at 32 weeks. So i had my baby shower earlier thank god but it was twins so of course they come earlier

I had mine last Saturday and I'm due October 27th. I picked the date and food but my mom did all the work and everything. It wasn't really a surprise party but she didn't want me to help when it came to decorating and everything. I just had to show up lol
