I think until the past year or so I was so blind to how much hate and racism exists. I just thought it was common sense that the color of your skin doesn't tell you what kind of person someone is. I thought that was settled so long ago. To think you're better than someone ONLY based on the color of your skin is so absurd! Makes me afraid that there is the next holocaust or something not too far away in our futures. So sad

underneath we are the same colors red and white muscle tissue and we all bleed the same color skin color is just a pigmentation thats how i look at it

@liz41395 my son is puerto rican and white my neighbors daughter is racist her kids are all mixed black white puerto rican and Indian and she has the audacity to tell my mom and sister that my son should play with his own kind i am like seriousky wtf

@kimberly.jo.herlinger, thats so awful! I'm so sorry he has to go through that. Kids only know what they are taught when it comes to racism. Poor things. It's so hard for me to believe people act like that and see nothing wrong.

Try leaving in a racist town! I was told once to not speak Spanish because I was in America... I've been asked why I'm so white if I'm Latina. That I have a Russian accent (in a mocking way)! And the worst and most ignorant, why aren't you black if you're from an African country? *My country is in Central America*

@hallek129, *face palm* it's America! Exactly! Where we are supposed to be free to speak in any language we want to. The guts that some people have. That's so awful! I think it's amazing, being able to fluently speak two languages! You go girl! So sad that people can't just accept other people's differences.

It is sad! And I'm afraid for the future too. My boy is a little cute white boy that looks Japanese (he is 1/3 because of his dad heritage) with blue eyes, blond hair and that is going to speak Spanish fluently lol

@liz41395 i dont get how they can even believe that....its crazy how even the news people focus so much on color as well how often do you hear a white guy who kills or does something bad, they do but its a bigger deal when black, muslim etc do it

i am just glad my sister is no longer with the guy she was with when i was pregnant because he flat out asked if i was going to move to puerto rico after my son was born basically in so many words are you and my SO are going to go back to where he came from pfft
