So people are saying my 22 lbs 2 year old 30 in is almost too big for his car seat. It is forward facing at 22 lbs and 2 years. I'm so confused!

He is close to growing this seat out because that last slot above his shouldn't is all but they should be above his shoulders while forward facing

@carolinedemp way more. 40 lbs I believe it is.
Sidika·
Мама двоих (младенец)
@santistevanmommie they are above his shoulder.
Shawna Santistevan·
@ssdj4, yes but you only have one more slot up after that. Once those slots are below his shoulders the seat is outgrown

@babydiehl2016 That's not for texas.

@carolinedemp I can't afford a new one right now anyway. My husband doesn't have a job and neither do I at the moment. Plus I don't feel he's too big for it. He's super small and barely the age and weight to forward face.
Sidika·
Мама двоих (младенец)
@babydiehl2016 yeah he is.
Sidika·
Мама двоих (младенец)
@babydiehl2016 it isn't 30 lbs.
Sidika·
Мама двоих (младенец)
@babydiehl2016 no it isn't. I just looked on the website.

@babydiehl2016 It not the LAW in Texas.
Lauren🖤·
@ssdj4 the pic you just posted in the comments also say 35lbs...
Sidika·

@hazelnautumnsmomma125 where? I just looked on the website for the car seat and it's 22-40 lbs ff.
Lauren🖤·
So why risk it and turn him forward facing when he's small for his age and the law RECOMMENDS rear facing?..
Sidika·
Мама двоих (младенец)
@babydiehl2016 the website say a 22-40 lbs.

@hazelnautumnsmomma125 BECAUSE I'M HIS MOTHER NOT YOU OR ANYONE ELSE! DON'T FUCKING COME ON HERE AND JUDGE ME!
Lauren🖤·
Wow someone's touchy. i simply asked a question. I never once said you were a bad mom. Chill out.
Sidika·

@hazelnautumnsmomma125 no you're judging me for how I'm choosing to place my child in a car seat.
Melinda ·
He's ok for now but will need one soon
My son is 2 & has two holes left but their growth slows up so the only be gone a few inches every year so I think you'll be good for another 6 to 12 month

@mamaofacountryboy he has forever lol he grows super slow
Lauren🖤·
@ssdj4 how did i judge you? I asked why risk it. That was a question not a judgment lol
Sidika·
Мама двоих (младенец)
@babydiehl2016 i do understand this but I choose to turn him around. I understand the risks. The law doesn't require him to rear face at this age and weight. I look it up constantly. I am not stupid or ignorant when it comes to this. I just make the ultimate decision based on what is legal.
Sidika·
Мама двоих (младенец)
@babydiehl2016 i asked if he was too big for the seat. Not whether he should sit rf or ff
Lauren🖤·
I like how shes talking to you but "yells" at me lol all i did was ask a question like Damn😂 @babydiehl2016
Melinda ·
All she did was ask if he was too big!
She knows the risks & choice her choice so leave it be.
Just like vaccines some say it's bad others say it good it's your baby your choice no mom needs to be told she's doing it wrong.
You gave her the info & the law info so leave it at that & move on @babydiehl2016, @hazelnautumnsmomma125,
Shawna Santistevan·
Okay here's the thing though. There is a weight and height limit for a seat. Not only that but I didn't say he has outgrown it I said he was close to outgrowing it. But if the law says he should be rear facing that's what it should be.
Lauren🖤·
@mamaofacountryboy girl i simply asked a question and she flipped on me lol
Shawna Santistevan·
However I did read on this for Texas. It's not actually a law just a recommendation to keep them rear facing to 2 and 35lbs. So, legally yes he can be forward facing.
Melinda ·
@hazelnautumnsmomma125,
I understand that
But on here we are reading in between the lines. I would have too offices to that with the way it's typed out not with what you said.
Best thing for all parties is move on
Most moms on here know that info already so give it to them if they don't agree move on so it don't start a fight
Lauren🖤·
@mamaofacountryboy i wasn't starting a fight girl. I asked why risk it since he's so small. She decided to get super defensive and "yell" at me.if you look at other posts she made when someone doesnt agree or says something she doesn't like she goes off on them Lol y'all can all try to put words in my mouth if y'all have nothing better to do today but it was just a question. If her 2 yr old is only 22 lbs he's tiny. My 13 month old is 22lbs. But anyways i never told her she was a bad mom or that she was wrong. It was a question lol i don't even know why you care. Lol
