IMPORTANT QUESTION:
I am scheduled for an induction tomorrow night. My mother has never been induced and wants to know the risks to being induced and said I should ask around about other women's experiences. Its been over a week and 1/2 and I've only dilated 2cm, and Im supposedly due Wednesday. If I don't naturally go into labor this week then they will still induce me next Sunday. Can anyone give me their advice/experience with being induced and wether or not it was good.

Being induced WILL make your labor more painful. that's just a fact. I have never been induced but I've heard stories from the women on here.

I have no personal experience when it comes to being medically induced but I will say you should see if they will do a membrane sweep. It's a more natural way to get things going. It hurts like hell but I went into labor just over 24 hrs later

I got induced at 39w4d.. it was such a long labor the first 12 hrs I had to get a pill in to make my cervix soften then they started me on Pitocin I was probably in labor all together for almost 30hrs I got the epidural but was not numb all the way I could still feel everything my experience was horrible and I pushed for 45min I had a very miner tear but it's different for everyone..

I went in to be induced, they started with cervadil because i was only 80%thinned and 1.5dialated.. they wanted me to thin out completely before starting the induction with pitocin... well i never got to pitocin.. the first pill they inserted(cervadil) put me into labor i was supposed to recieve 4/5pills before they started the pitocin the next day. Well the first pill put me into labor and it all went very quickly i had her 5hrs after,only pushed 10minz and she was my first. All natural,no meds and we were both fine 😊

Honestly I got induced with all 3 of my kids I didnt have no issues labor depends on the person with my daughter I was in labor for 3 hours my middle 2 hours and my youngest an hour

@mommieunicorn if you haven't lost it already, you should lose your mucus plug soon. Fingers crossed it works for you. I had mine done at 330 on a Thursday afternoon and went into labor Saturday at 11am had him at 329pm

I was induced with all of my children except my third. I was scheduled to be induced with her but she came the day before my induction date. Honestly I feel it's a whole lot easier to be induced. I will be induced with this sweet girl unless she comes before the induction date. To me it's better, easier, and safer. As long as the doctor clears you for it and the baby is healthy and a good size then I recommend it.
