Anybody know how to "treat" flat nipples for breastfeeding? I hope to someday not use my nipple…

I had the same problem when my son was born. We used the nipple shield for a couple weeks then bam! He was able to latch without. He's almost 6 months and haven't used it since. Keep it up mama, it'll get easier.

@roxxipup249, I would start with the shield then after a few minutes of him nursing, take it off and he would latch without the shield.

@peajayyyy ive tried that, it hasnt been working. Ive thought about pumping for a few minutes and then breastfeeding but havent had the opportunity to do it

Yes pump before you breastfeed just for a few minutes itll pull your nipple out enough for her to latch
