Do you mommies do the "cry it out" method?

I haven't ever really had a crier, but my grandma said after you do the baby check list which is: Are they feed, burped, clean diaper, not hot or cold, and are they in a safe place it ok to allow them to cry but NEVET younger than 6-7 months they can go into respiratory distress.

I was told a teaspoon of miralax in her formula. And apparently they have slings you can put both babies in that will keep them close and content. I hope that will work. Just remember if you get over frustrated. Step away for a couple minutes and breathe. That's how I figure things out. Yesterday my daughter was screaming and screaming. I couldn't figure it out. So I went on the steps smoked and calmed down. Came back swalded her and put her in my bed while I sat next to her and finished up some business. After about five minutes she fell asleep

At 2 months no. At a year old i let them ciy for 10-15 minutes

@maesmommy04 my mom has given her prune juice and it didn't help. They prescribes her Miramax but didn't give me instructions on how to give her that. I'm going to ask today at her visit. I have to get something so I can actually get stuff done I feel like Its a never ending scream fest everyday

For the reflux. Make sure you are burping every 2 or3 ounces and leave them in the sitting position for minimum of ten minutes. It gets better as they get older I promise. The first seven or eight weeks I raised her alone. Her daddy was only around on weekends. So I know it's hard. Also they can tell when you are upset stressed and frustrated. My daughter will either scream when I'm a bad mood cause of the negative energy or want to cuddle me.

Sounds just like my daughter. Her reflux meds don't really work. And she has to be on soy formula. Invest in a sling. That might help you get stuff done. My daughter loves to hear my heart. That's why she wants held. She's lonely and wants comfort. As for the constipation. The dr has her on miralax but I've discovered that diluted apple juice or pear juice works so much better. And she enjoys it. I know you're not technically supposed to give anything other than water but it doesn't hurt her.

@fasciamom yeah both have reflux and my daughter is colic. I gove her the reflux meds and colic drops but they dont help and it doesn't help that she is constipated like crazy still. Only pooping once every 3 or 4 days. I just can't hold her and Kai and get everything I need done. Is be different if my husband could get up and help but he can't so everything is up to me. And they dont want him they want me and it's hard to even feed one baby while the other one is red in the face gasping for air cause they are screaming too much 😣 i just feel like anything I do is never enough. Like no matter what I do they scream unless they are on top of me and I can't have them on me together cause if they touch they are gonna freak out like the other baby is stealing me or something 😔😞

@maesmommy04 yeah i do everything for them and they still scream unless they are literally on top of me on my neck hanging onto my necklace or their hands wrapped in my hair 😣 I literally get nothing done around the house or for myself or husband because they are on me nonstop throughout the day... I hold them until they stop crying and then put them down and they immediately start again.. I try not to hold them too often bdcaus3 I know I'm spoiling them and that is why they want to be on me all the time but if I don't they will scream until they can't breathe 😢😭😓 I don't know what to do. My daughter is ten weeks and a lot of times she just wants carried around. So those times when I actually can't get to her for a few minutes. (like trying to potty or having to wash my skin off before picking her up after cleaning) I let her cry. Or when I've tried everything and she's screaming and I'm overly frustrated I'll go out to smoke then try again. But other than that I won't let her cry it out

I don't think it's ever ok to let a baby cry it out, especially for over an hour!??? Seriously.

I did it ,and it works but it's slow progress I started letting her cry a min,than 5 but I won't do longer than 5..then I'll pick her lol

I absolutely hate to unless I legitimately can't get to her right away or if I'm too frustrated with her. My doctor said for young babies don't let them cry longer than 20 at at a time without checking again if they need something.

An hour seems a bit long if they are crying a lot... Maybe if they are being fussy, but full on crying I would only do maybe 15 minutes. I'd ask around more though.

At a young age I would say up to an hr but keep an eye o them

@twinmomma2b sometimes. Karen will go straight to sleep and other times she will cry for an hr and a half then she goes to sleep. And she's almost a yr
