Listen, I understand that breastfeeding is what is ultimately best for a baby. However, it doesn't work for every mommy. There could be a lot of things going on in their life you don't know about. What's the point in making them feel guilty for formula feeding. Please remember to be supportive. That's the point of this app!!!
I think in the same way people want support for formula feeding we should also support and uplift the mothers who are breastfeeding. They need encouragement too. It is a hard task. And sometimes not as simple as it seems especially in my case, in my opinion because my journey was truly rough.
You dont have to feel guilty about formula feeding just because another mother is excited and happy about breast feeding. This is a long time divide and for no reason at all. We all know breast is best for the child but it isnt always possible which is why formula exists. Just fed your baby the way you want to and dont worry about anything else.
I had just read a post earlier that a girl was talking about starting to formula feed and other moms were really trying to convince her not to when she very clearly needed something to change in her life to become less stressed. I've had people in my life make me feel guilty for switching to formula as well. I know what it's like.
I'm glad you had nothing but support. I wish I could have used it. This post was just meant to be a gentle reminder to all mommys that whatever other mom's decide, they are doing it for a reason. That's all. 😊 @ilovemychildren ❤️
@mamaprince, a good reason would be having a heart disease. How could I possibly feel guilty for that? Wouldn't make sense. Unless you're a drama queen then ok lol
