No, differnt dicaplins work with differnt children. Some children just even talking in a sturn voice breaks their heart where they would never do that again, then their are super stuborn children that talking does nothing for them, and do need a spanking. In my openion just depends on the child. But spanking should be last option.
A swat on the butt is okay for some children, but anything past that is an excessive representation of your anger. And I believe you shouldn't spank your child while angry because it's easy to lose control for a lot of people.

Kids need discipline these days, time out isn't going to do it all the time. I got spanked and I'm fine. It teaches respect and not to do things your not suppose to.
No! There's a difference in discipline and neglect. But honestly spanks have not worked as well as we thought. Which I don't do the spankings unless they're really bad but they'll tell me they're wiping my spanking off. Timeout works a little. I have strong willed kids lol
