Has anyone had experience with their little one dropping in birth weight is it normal.

My daughter was 8lb 9oz born and went down to 7lb 13oz! It's normal to drop a bit- just make sure you're feeding regularly! Xx

when my girl was 3 days old she was only just taking 15ml (half an oz) every 3 hours! try not to worry too much every baby is different and takes a while to get used to life on the outside! xx

@missashleyanne thanks bottle but he only drinks maybe 1oz every 2 hours if im lucky .

Dnt worry he will put on weight it will just take him time. When my wee girl was a newborn she wud sleep 10 hours straight if let her. Now at 5 months b lucky during day if she naps 10 mins x

@missashleyanne he just doesnt like feeding i feel like i spend my life feeding him. They say feed him every 2 hours.

@sarahthe I wouldn't worry hun a lot of babies lose their birth weight, my nephew was 3lb12 born and went to 3lb4 he will grow absolutely fine

He was 5lb 1oz born now he is 4lb 10 oz so tiny

Yeah it is completely normal, when my son got weighed they said don't be surprised if he's lost birth weight most babies do, but he just piled it all on. But no it is very normal don't worry

Very normal. Most babies b bck up to birth weight by 10 days old. My kids r very slower gainers took my wee girl till day 21 lol
