My two months old baby wake up hungry and went I start to feed him, usually after 2 oz he starts to cry I'm continuing trying and he seems like he is hungry and wants the bottle but after a few seconds cries again. It's been like that since week 7. Also he doesn't make eyes contact with me. This situation is been on and off. Sometimes he drinks 24 oz a day some days 20 oz.
We when to the doctor and he said everything is fine and he didn't lose weight so far but is exhausting try to feed him.
I try gas medicine, I try feeding pillow and different positions since he do not like when I hold him.
I'm really sad because he is my first baby and I jus want to hold him and cuddle but at this point nothing works.
Suggestions please. :(

Try skin to skin when you feed him? Maybe that will help with bonding during feeding time.

Yeah I was going to say skin to skin as much as possible all day if possible. And if he's on formula it very well could be dairy.

If it's formula maybe it's upsetting his stomach and he needs something sensitive?

If he's crying once he's eating then the food is triggering his cry...

He might be reacting to something in the food....either the formula or something you're eating in the breastmilk. It could also be the bottle....at about 7/8 weeks I had to switch up the nipple size because he was getting so mad at the level 1.

My daughter is alittle older but she does this when she is over tired...I EBF but she won't nurse if she is sleepy

@king_julienne I'm not breastfeeding but I was thinking that. Maybe he is tired and overwhelmed.

@merlinaice skin to skin is beneficial for all babies and can be done while formula feeding as well.

@merlinaice try sitting in a quiet, comfortable place at feeding time for skin to skin. This can definitely be done for formula fed babies as well. Strip baby down, take your shirt off, and just hold baby close while feeding.

@merlinaice burp burp burp! Burping will be your best friend. Everyone kept saying breastfed babies don't need to be burped much, wrongo for mine. I'd burp him longer than he took to eat. Sometimes 15 but there's ALWAYS a good burp in there. It helps with gassiness too
Jennifer ·
Not saying you breastfeed but formula babies definitely need burps
