I've eaten spicy my whole life. Of course from 12-14yrs old and on. I'm assuming since my body is used to it, it never caused me heartburn like others moms. I eat dry jalapeños, bell peppers, valentina sauce, siracha sauce, salsas, jar jalapeños, and I've been fine. I literally cannot eat a meal w/out chile. I've been cutting back since I began week 36 because I feel bad for baby but I still eat it once in a while. Baby is healthy. Heartbeat strong. Constant movement. Good weight gain. But!!!!!!! My mother did the same thing with her firstborn (her grandma would advice her not to) and when he was born he had red in his butthole. (I forgot the correct terminology). So when grandma saw the baby she was like "I told you that would happen!!! Go get me an egg and rub the yolk on his butt for it to go away!!" Within days the redness disappeared.

Yes!! Some people say when you get further along it'll induce labor, but it's an old wives tale.

Also if I couldn't eat spicy food, I would be in trouble 😅
