My husband just went off on my specialist. I'm being seen every week by a perinatologist because of my weak cervix and my initial doctor went out of town two weeks ago so the doctor he left in charge has seen me the last two times. Last week, my husband met me at my appointment because he was at work. The doctor noticed we came in different cars since he got there after me... so the doctor waited for us to leave and he called me from HIS cellphone when I was driving telling me that I can call him whenever I had a question or concern. At first I thought he was being nice.. but then he started texting me almost every day being TOO nice always telling me I can text him at whatever time of the day... I stopped replying to him because I felt him coming off way too strong. But this text message was what really pissed my husband off. Now I'm not even comfortable going... I called my ob and asked if they can request for me to be seen by someone else in the office but they said they have no control over who sees me at the perinatologist' office. My husband told him he appreciated all the help he's been giving us but what he's doing is very unprofessional and he can't be texting me every day all day.. that if we have any questions we'd contact the office or wait till our appointment and the doctor got so nervous.. he couldn't even really talk he was stuttering all that came out was "ok I'm sorry". Any thoughts on what I should do? 😓

@beebaby, it is 🙄😒 like how am I even supposed to be comfortable with him trying to find my cervix.. even the first day I saw him looking at me so weird when we walked into his office

@jaie16, girllll he had to be.. he was at work when i sent him this and he has to set a good example but trust me lol he's been calling me nonstop asking if I already talked to someone in the office so someone else can see me because I know if we bump into him it's gonna be uglyyyy lol

@lionesssmommyy I would put in a complaint with the medical office. He is definitely being unprofessional. I wouldn't feel comfortable seeing that doctor with him down there thinking sexual thoughts the way he is. Doctors rarely get the time to call you them selves, it's ussually the medical assistant who calls. Unless something is wrong. He is abusing his position as a doctor and needs to be stopped. I wouldn't take this lightly or think that he is just being nice. He is straight up being a pervert(.)

I agree with @momma11-16!!! You need to file a formal complaint and keep all of the texts. I would actually file a lawsuit against him! He is completely unprofessional and he is abusing his power as a doctor. He is a major creep and I would have freaked the hell out on him, my husband would have never gotten a chance to freak out.

Yeah this is not normal would switch offices and make a complaint to the state medical board https://www.medicare.gov/claims-and-appeals/file-a-complaint/doctor-hospital-or-provider/complaints-about-providers.html
If you just file with the office nothing may happen cause they all work together and have each others backs. You go to the board it will be on his record and he will have to take a course or something to correct the behavior. If he doesn't he can lose his license. At least that's how it is for nurses so I'm pretty sure they're just as strict with Dr's.

Thank you girls. I didn't want to make it a big deal because I didn't think I'd have enough resources to back it up. My husband mentioned the complaint and even a law suit but I didnt want to look stupid in front of anyone. I also have the calls that I ignore which are usually followed by a text that I also don't reply to. Thank you in advising me! ❤️

@lionesssmommyy that's more than enough... when I first started reading I thought it was an ex trying to get back with you. Then when you said it was your Dr I'm lIke WTF! and why is he trying to check your cervix at 20weeks???!! That's crazy. I never heard of a Dr texting patients. Veeerryy unprofessional.

@embracemthrhd2, what's even more weird is that I'm his pregnant patient lol I NEVER go alone to my appointments my husband is always there with me. They're seeing me because I lost my baby a year ago at 18 weeks. They discovered that I have an incompetent cervix and are monitoring me and deciding whether I need the cerclage or not. Our cervix being pregnant needs to be from 3-5 cm that's the normal range and mine is at 1.4 right now. They have me administering vaginal progesterone which seems to be working slowly but they don't think it's enough.. but they're scared of the cerclage because some of the risks include accidentally rupturing my bag. It's horrible.. it's a head ache as it is and he wants to act all extra in the middle of this nightmare.

@lionesssmommyy, you have more than enough to not only file a complaint with his work, but the State medical board and file a lawsuit! Plus! Think of it this way, you may not have been his first "victim", he could have done this before and the other woman were to afraid to do nothing about it... It happens with rapists and their victims all the time! Just because he is a doctor is no reason to be intimidated!!!
