HELP! Can anyone please give me some advice.. I'm a FTM , baby boy due Sept. 21st. My SO (baby's father) works, I however have not worked since last year (2016) We are not married yet but thinking about it soon. Question is.. Is it better to file income taxes with baby while not being married (filing single) or being married? And if it's better to do it while not being married, who should claim the baby or can we both claim him? Any information would be helpful! We are in a financial bind and need to get back as much as possible in taxes. Thank You !!
Not sure which way is best... only one can claim him tho...
How the heck do tax returns work? Can me and my boyfriend both claim my daughter? We are not married. We both want to claim her for money benefits. 😣

And he said u can still claim Mia it won't affect it he already asked the tax people. So if u can send it over ...

We got the most back by filing together! But we are married. I'm not too sure though to be honest!
