My son really just climbed out his crib!!

A behavior chart. I made her one when she was 1.5 things like: watch you attitude, eat your food (she's always been tiny and eats like a bird), clean up your toys, brush teeth, stay in your bed etc.... If she followed through she was rewarded with a dollar store toy every day. If she filled each rule with a sticker by the end of the week she got a large reward like out to ice cream, a day at the park/pool, a fun movie night at home etc....

@mommiesaremagical14, how you get her to go to sleep once you transitioned the bed?

I understand. I'm sure you'll get through this ok. It's just a new milestone in his life. They come at different times for all kids. My DD did great the first week she didn't get out of her new big girl bed for the first 2 weeks. She was so proud.

@nmc95 lol, I wouldn't put it past him. Kids are a lot smarter than we give them credit for!!!

She never stopped after that when she know she can do it she was right about everything there. So we didn't want to risk her slipping or miss stepping and getting hurt. We decided it was time for a bed because it would be safer.

The first time I discovered her out of her bed I was sitting in my living room and could hear her on the baby monitor and it wasn't the normal noises I hear of her just talking to herself in her crib she was playing with stuff I flew in there and there she was right in the middle of her room, lol!!! I text her dad and told him and he was shocked.

@mommiesaremagical14, he's about to be 17 months... I was shocked when I seen his bedroom door open and he came out laughing

Ut oh, time for a big boy bed!!!! My DD was close to 2 when she did it. I caught her and got a picture of her hanging of the side, lol. She had a big girl bed that week. Now that he knows he can do it he's going to continue to do it just like my daughter did. So my SO I decided it would be better to just get her the bed rather than risk her falling and getting hurt.
