Can you into some type of trouble from keeping your child away from their father ? I refuse to let my baby stay with her dad last time I know he was homeless moving from place to place had no money now he's harassing me to take her .... he would not let me know where she will be staying. I don't trust him.

Mt ex husband did the same thing and he refused to compromise but he doesnt want to go to court either so he just doesnt see his son...
@gabsmommy have you tried talking to him about meeting up to spend time with her in public till he get his life together? Let him know how you would like to keep the parenting arrangements between you 2, so the courts dont have to get involved.

Ive been in that situation before and someone said to me. What type of mom would i be by letting my son go with his dad but have no clue where he is staying?? What if something happens and the police ask me questions and all i can say is I dont know???
@justusthree im glad to but it really put me n a mood that im still trying to get out of its like he stole apart of me like im not my self im working on it tho... But even after all that he dint even come see her

He seems like he's going to make things worse. Try to get some legal advice and take it from there to protect u and ur lil one

I sure as hell wouldn't give my daughter to someone like that until I was legally forced to.
Easiest way is to just go to court and get custody. He's going to have to show and he's going to have to show proof of resident job and that you are an unfit mother. Just keep all texts and everything
@justusthree no that is not true if their is no court order he can take her and shell have a hard time getting her back i just went to court for this

He came to get her twice and when he came over he told me he doesn't have a stable home for her and left idk if he did that because he saw me going out. Also he says he's been recording me for two months now and he has evidence I'm an unfit mom all I do is curse him out for not trying to be their for our daughter sooooo idk
Every state is different! If I were you, I'd look into getting a court order. See if they have a workshop clinic at your court, (that's what I do now), you may qualify for pro bono services if they do. I'd look into it, having official paper work will make it better for you. Good luck!

If you guys are married and he's the one who left the home, he technically is saying you have sole custody. Depending though on how long he's left the home.

Dont let him take her because he doesnt have to bring her back then youll find your self going to court and looking for him cus youll have to serve him papers n if their is no custody agreement he has every right not to bring her back--- i just went to court for this my self i let my daughter dad pick her up for the weeked n he didn't wanna bring her back i had to go to court to get her back it took me 5 months to get her back all because neither of us had full custody n since he is the dad he dont have to bring her back... Now i have full custody n if he come get her and decided he dont wanna bring her back i can call the police n i have paper thay says i can do that... If you're feeling bad about it just go ahead and go to court now and get all this in order now so that when he does come and get her or you decide to let her go with him you don't have any problem getting her back from him
Gurrrl make sure u save all those messages just in case he try to pull a fast one.. Can't leave ur child with anyone you don't trust or have a location to where he's taking ur child
I'm not giving you a address to nowhere I'm staying and legally I don't have to so if you wanna keep pulling this controlling card and makin up excuses to y you holding my child from me go ahead its deffenitly not gone look good for you .i don't know if you know this but you have held me from seeing my daughter you took her from me and you can go to jail for this you must have forgot we're married things are a lot different
I don't think so if there's no court order that she needs to go with him.
Oh ok yeah then still try to see if he will work with you that way when you go to court you can say you tried to let him see his child.
