Advice please!

I had my ob appointment yesterday and my doctor was out of town as of Friday. The nurse practitioner told me their sending a referral to basically the only doctor in my area to "double check" for vasa previa. I called the hospital today to see if the doctor reviewed it and he's not there, his nurse is also not there. Yesterday they told me someone would call today.

I call my ob office because now I'm getting upset. My sonogram was on July 26, why did they wait until august 7 to tell me vasa previa showed up detected. When I failed my first glucose test they sure enough called me the next day.

I'm currently 32w 2d and I don't know what to do.

What would you do? After reading everyone's stories and educating myself on vasa previa I feel like these doctors are being too lax on it. This is my first pregnancy and I feel like every time I see a doctor something is wrong. They have known about my placenta previa since the beginning of my second trimester. It's now anterior placenta previa, the sonogram tech also told me she was sitting low head down.
