Did anyone have postpartum depression i had it and my boyfriend didnt understand. He kept telling me its for weak minded why would you be depressed if you just had a baby. Not considerate at all

just feel super depressed. literally in tears right now. nothing I do or say seems to be going right. sometimes I wished I would've killed myself years ago when I had the chance. I'm sorry if this depresses you :(

I thought you were supposed to nest right before you had the baby. Not nest and then not have a baby and then get depressed. #ihatebeingpregnant

I have it now. Also PTSD after being in the NICU for 3 weeks.
It's real, about 10% of women get it in some form.
For him to tell you to get over it, is like having a broken arm and he's saying just feel better. I'm upset for you. That's not how he should deal with it. If you can get him to go visit your doctor, have him go with and have your doctor explain to him what's going on and that it's very real and very serious if left untreated.

That was two years ago but wanted to see if anyone had it and how they got through it or how they are copping. I asked him again that why i brought it up and he still feels the same.
