Ladies am I the only person that finds it disrespectful when a child calls their aunt/uncle by their name.. I'm Hispanic so we say Tio or Tia and follow it by the name since sometimes theirs more then one uncle or auntie.. but never just by their first name. Am I alone or is just a Hispanic thing..side note: not all Hispanic do this.

I have 3 aunts, 2 of them i strictly say aunt before their name but one of them I'm perfectly fine saying "aunt katie" or just "katie" 99% of the time i always say aunt first though.

My uncle i do the same with I'll either say "uncle rob" or just "rob"

No, I'm classified as white and in Idaho. To me it's the same as you said it. I have my daughter address all of her aunts and uncles with "auntie/uncle" first. I come from a big family and have adopted people as my siblings and it's the same for them, "auntie/uncle _____________." and their kids always call me "auntie" But I was also raised that way.
