You don't have to get married to get that stuff, likely it's possible that you'd get more without being married because then they wouldn't need to base it on 2 incomes, just 1. Loans might be different, but food stamps for sure is better not married if you don't work or have low income. Legally, he wouldn't have to be on any applications for state aid if you're not married...at least where I am.
