Does anyone else have a child that is 4 months shy of 2 and still not talking? Is this normal? My son says Dada but that's literally it. Am I concerned for nothing??
@mami1234 in the back of my mind, I know it's normal, I just get concerned no matter how okay I try to convince myself to be.
@mami3st2011 okay, that makes me feel so much better. I try not to read shit online, but if I do, I always go for actual parents' experiences vs "charts"
@brylielenee my son has an eye for detail too lol, it's the damn talking I trip on.
My daughter will be 2 on the 26th and still only says a handful of words. Mostly babbles and can't understand what she says. But she's always ahead on everything else with learning. I guess she would rather learn everything else but how to talk.
My first son was talking by 1 and my second son and nephew wouldn't say much of anything, right after they hit 2 they started talking sooooo much we had no idea where it came from. Now my son is almost 3 and my nephew is 2 and a few months and they both have full blown conversations.
We had thought my youngest son wasn't talking because he couldn't pass his hearing test until almost 2 or something was wrong as well. And the doctor told us it's quite common for boys to talk later than girls. Now he doesn't stop talking lol.
