It's not. I didn't have the epidural and still thought it wasn't that bad. The worst part is the contractions. Just breath in your nose and out your mouth and you'll do just fine. You pretty much forget all the pain Ayer you see your baby anyways :)

Don't be terrified! It's not near as bad as everyone puts it out to be! I was terrified at first as well but I promise you it's not that bad.

First time for me too. I'm 19 weeks with a boy. Due date December 29th.
