Appt went great, strong heart beat and my lil baby even wiggled a few times lol. 10weeks, 1 day…

I chose to test. Because if there was anything wrong with baby I would like to know everything and be prepared.

@redlalaemami Shortly after I found out I was pregnant around 13 weeks. I had the genetic test done to see if I could possibly carry a down syndrome gene (This test is not very accurate, which is why most woman test posititive).. I did test positive and had about a 1 in 209 (-1%) chance of baby having a Trisomy 18 defect. I chose to test further with more accurate blood work (about 98%-99%) at detecting chromosome abnormalities. Which came back negative, I was confident with those results so I chose to not test any further.

Most women choose not to test at all because it causes them to "stress more for no reason" but in my eyes if there is ever anything wrong with my baby I want to know any and everything, so I can prepare myself. But it really is a personal choice.
