Okay so this might be long but I need answers because I'm very worried.
So my mom told me that she's been spotting irregularly and now she's *tmi* peeking blood. A few years ago she went to get a pap smear and it came back abnormal and they wanted her to go back but she was scared and never did. Have any of you experienced this? I'm trying to force her to go to the doctor or planned parenthood or SOMETHING but she's convinced she's fine. I'm so worried. I'm not ready to lose my mom.

I also had an abnormal pap when I was 21. I went back for testing and it turned out to be nothing. Tell your mom she HAS TO GO! She knows something isn't right son she can't be ignorant to the fact.

I had an abnormal pap when I was 20 maybe...I had abnormal cells on my cervix and my family has a very rough past with reproductive illnesses and problems so I went in for a biopsy or my cervix. It ended up not being cancer but she still had to like scrape my cervix. She needs to go if she has cancerous cells and they've began spreading it could quickly become dwadly. Not to scare you...just letting you know my experience.

She needs to go asap. Force her. Tell her you're not taking "no" for an answer- even if it's to the ER. Pee'ing blood is never a good sign, and if im being honest, it sounds like it could be as bad as bladder cancer, or something as simple as cysts. Or, more than likely it's an infection, benign tumors, stones in the kidney or bladder, or other benign kidney diseases. Better safe than sorry, but the pee'ing blood is the most concerning part.

Tell her "you have to make an appointment on Monday. I'll go with you, but at least make the appointment. If you don't, then Tuesday we are going to the ER and that will cost a helluva lot more money."

I hope it all works out. I know what it's like to have a stubborn parent that won't seek out medical treatment. I wish I had I been more firm. Make her go.
