I will be a first time mom as well and keeping my baby in my room at first too! We are allowed to be cautious and anxious!! Don't let anyone make you feel bad about your choices.

@melissamichele05 she doesn't make me feel bad just makes me feel like I'll never be a good enough Mom to her. She flipped out cause of the name i chose, she flipped cause I don't want to be away from the baby right away, and then this caused ww2.

I'll be keeping the baby in my room for the first few weeks so it's totally normal!

Wow. Why is any of that her business?! I have a pushy MIL too . it's extremely annoying but I finally put her in her place. We have a right to enjoy this and make our choices.

There's nothing wrong with it. Unless she's the one who will be getting up for nightly feedings & diaper changes it's not really her business where your baby sleeps.

@melissamichele05 I've done that quit a few times and she's just pushy and rude. And it really isn't but if I'm with my fiancee or something and we're discussing things she'll shit talk me up and down if it isn't how she would do it. Can't win with her

I have had my son in the same room as me for 13 months because I breastfeed so it just makes things a whole lot easier❤️ once our house is done being remodeled he will be moving to his own room and to a toddler bed but until then he is with me and honestly it's one of the best choices I've made it makes my anxiety better makes me feel safer exspecially when he was smaller forget whoever is judging you do what you feel is right for your baby💖
