Violet is 2 weeks old today & he umbilical cord didn't fall off yet. How long does it usually take? The pediatrician told me to avoid bathing her and sponge baths until it falls off, but baby girl needs a bath!

so my childs umbilical cord is falling off and is hanging by a thread . its gross and creeping me out and stinks 😅 how long after it falls off do i have to wait to give him an actual bath ?
how long after your newborns cord stump falls off do you give them a real bath?
where do you fall? I've seen a lot of people listing off the order of what's important to them.
since everything fell off that needs to fall off, my big man is getting his very first big man bath tonight!

You can sponge bath her. Just don't get the cord wet.

I put a towel down for my babies and sponged them on it.
