So I had a C section on Friday. I was wondering what is the best way to recover. I was suppose to have a natural birth and things changed. Sooo any help or advice would be helpful.
Make sure to take your pain meds that the hospital gave you. It will help. Take them even if you are not hurting. Trust me, it keeps most of the pain away. Walk slowly around your place, but do not bend over or twist. Make sure to clean your incision at least twice a day. You can either take a shower and do this very carefully. Or your better option would be to get Q-tips and hydrogen peroxide and slowly clean the incision. Then you will want to take another Q-tip and apply Neosporin.
I slept on the couch so I didn't have to bend to much. I slept on my side with a pillow to my stomach. Each people is different. I ad my first at 19 and no one on either side knew anything about it
My nurses had me up walking the next day and just staying active got me back to normal faster, of course i was moving slow. Honestly just say active and you will notice a you feel back to normal in no time
@momof3cuties, what was the best position to sit or sleep in. I can't seem to find one that is comfortable. Every time I think I have it hurts when I try to stand up like someone is trying to pull incision open
