You can gently hand express just enough to relieve the pressure, warm shower, or a warm washcloth on your breast with a gentle massage. Pumping this early is what will make your breasts continue to fill that much. When you pump or nurse, it tells your body that it needs to make more milk. So if you just relieve a little pressure to where you can bare the discomfort, your body will adjust in a few days and not make so much milk. Just feed on demand and don't pump with the machine right now.
@arivera64 so what can I do after I feed my daughter and I'm still engorged

Yep 😊 because pumping can interfere with the natural process of your milk supply. Sometimes pumping too soon causes an oversupply. That can lead to a whole plethora of issues that are not fun in the least.
@arivera64 is that why they say its best to strictly breast feed the first 6 weeks ?

In the early days your milk is not regulated. That combined with the supply and demand factor, many women will pump a lot in the beginning. Just remember once your supply regulates, you may start pumping a smaller amount. It doesn't mean your supply dropped, just means your body is making exactly what it needs to. Congrats on the new baby
