What age do people usually potty train? My little brother was in undies instead of diapers by the time he was 14 months. But I have a nephew that is almost four and they are still training. I know every child is different. But what's an age for most? Just curious

My neice was trained at 1.5 years, my friends daughter wasn't fully trained until almost 4.

We just ordered our son a potty, so when he expresses interest in it we'll be ready. He already hates being in a dirty diaper.

I'm going to introduce the potty at 18 months but I won't really get strict with it until 2.5 years old unless she shows interest before hand. I'm going to follow her cues like I did my oldest.

@ilovemychildren, okay! My daughter will be 9 months soon and I just want to be prepared for when things like that happen lol. She still doesn't pull herself to stand up so I have a feeling she might walk late as well. And I know you can't potty train until they're walking! Haha

I would start around 12 to 14 months but it all depends on the child. My oldest didn't potty train until she was 4

#mombassadorchat Moms, Done with diapering? Today we're chatting all things potty training with @smilingwithmyawesome4kids, who is a mombassador and admin of the very popular potty training group in the app. Share your potty training stories, ask questions and share tips on this post. @smilingwithmyawesome4kids will also answer any questions! Here's her bio and general tips: Hello I am Ceiamaria I am a stay at home Mother to 4 children ages 12,8,7 and 11 months old. I am happily married for 12 years and we are still going strong. I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child.
