This is so frustrating! I don't understand gestational diabetes. My blood sugar is so messed up I don't even know what to do! I can't take it! Between him and this and EVERYTHING in between! Fuck all this! I'm just so... so! Ugh!!!!
@amouryaya09 I hope it's soon it's kinda stressful I just want to baby to be ok. And I feel like I'm doing a good job now. v.v
@fr3dfr3dburg3rfu, protein is good for not spiking. The whole thing is trial and error depending on how your body takes it. I was super strict with my diet but you will figure it out what works for you.
trie@amouryaya09 no i tried calling but of course they would be closed today since it's sunday. And I mostly ear veggies. I love veggies. And some meat yes.
@fr3dfr3dburg3rfu, pretty much everything Ashley said. I ate meat and veggies everyday with cheat days here and there. Did they give you diabetic education? They gave me different books with the different carb counts and what not.
@ilovemychildren I don't drink soda and only really eat butter scotch candies but other then that I try to stay away from candy. And sugars. But muk it's still out of control
@ashleydunn I don't eat much potatoes and bread because I know they are bad. But my sugar is always high and it's stressful trying to maintain it because I don't want nothing bad to happen to my baby
@amouryaya09 it's mostly high but I don't eat much sugar and I don't know what to do to get it down and stay down
@ilovemychildren yeah except for just a little while ago I got real shakes and it my sugar was 60. But that's the only time it was low
@ashleydunn my grandparents raised me and my grampa was a diabetic. My best friend got gestational diabetes when pregnant with her 2nd child. They both cut out soda, any sugars they could think of and managed to get their diabetes under control.
@ilovemychildren, unfortunately its not that easy in currently on a "diet" because I might be diabetic. You have to avoid sugar but you also have to avoid starches like potatoes and bread. White potatoes turn into sugar so diabetics should avoid them. They can have red potatoes twice a week and sweet potatoes as often as they like. (FIL is diabetic) I had to make major adjustments to our meals for my FIL
@sawyersmom yeah but not the sugary ones. I eat like banana, apples, pears and some berries
