It's all matter of personal opinion we choose to do it for our son because a sometimes it may have to be done later in life for medical reasons and we figured that it would be better for him to have no memory of the pain than need it later in life and remember the pain and b because talking to my grandma and she told me he wasn't and that he wished his mom would have gotten it done because his sweat would get trapped in his fore skin he never felt clean no matter how much he cleaned it and for this man to complain it takes a lot he never complained about chemo
@effmil I didn't circumcize my son because his dad asked me not to. I regret it because now as a pre teen i have to keep him aware of pulling the skin back and cleaning properly down there. It's an added hassle especially cuz he's a boy and I already have to keep on top of him about his hygiene.
Don't do it. Respect your son's body autonomy. If it's not ok to cut anyone else's body without consent why is it ok to do to a newborn boy's? A boy is going to have to wash his penis whether there is a foreskin or not. Do a lot of research. Read the actual statistics. Circumcised man has a 1.25% lifetime chance of uti. An uncircumcised man has a 1.27% lifetime risk of uti. That's less than half of a percent difference. Research the pain of the procedure. There are studies that prove the pain is so significant that it changes the way the boy's brain works and his brain will never return to how it was pre-circumcision. If you want any more info, message me. I have a lot. And intact care is super important. Any issue with a foreskin comes from improper care not from the foreskin being there. As a parent you literally never pull the foreskin back. It's fused to the head of the penis, sometimes until puberty. All you do is wipe like a finger from base to tip.
With my oldest 11 years ago the Dr told me to do what he would be seeing. So basically if the man that would be helping him potty trained was then to male his look the same.

Read this article. I have two sons. One cut and one not cut. My biggest regret is having my oldest cut. It was very traumatic.
