I had preclampsia with my First pregnancy only symptoms I had was excessive swelling and high blood pressure and they found protein in my urine at 39 weeks, don't let her freak you out I would call your doctor with your symptoms and have them test you

I ended up with severe preeclampsia with both of my pregnancies... they will monitor you more closely... technology/medicines are amazing and there are a lot of possibilities to get you through and keep you and your baby as healthy as possible! No need to worry, try to stay calm/relaxed, just keep your doctor informed, stay hydrated, and eat as healthy as you can! That's about all you can control!

@dreamermom, how should I go about telling my dr I think I have preeclampsia

@jgh2398 by just telling them lmao I told my doc of things I thought I had and they were very sweet and checked me out and tested me for it. That simple! And very helpful!

@jgh2398, just tell them you are concerned about getting preeclampsia, and explain what you have been feeling... they will check your BP... that is pretty much the start of it... and they will check your urine for protein... chances are you are if you do end up with it, you are not really showing much now... it typically comes into play later on, in your pregnancy like 31-32 weeks before you really start noticing a dangerous spike in your BP... but they will run some tests... I personally bought a home BP cuff, and started taking it at home... that way I could keep on top of it!
