@missjess So many doctors are misinformed. It's sad really, all that schooling and such...

My doctor tried to tell me to pump and dump so he could put me on a certain medication when I told him that medication wasn't an option for me while having a baby. It was a controlled substance I'm like I need to be able to care for my then 3 month old. And I certainly wasn't about to pump and dump especially when I was never a successful pumper and waste my milk!

@kimny Of course! I did that when I had an infection in both ears a couple months ago. I literally only went to the doctors to get a note for work. It amazes me how little docs know about breast milk and its healing properties.

Put some breast milk in your ear or try natural remedies. When I had my son, my doc wanted me to stop breast feeding to prescribe me a scar reduction cream on my c-section scar. Mind you my son was just a few months old.

@sarisings, I understand. I didn't take my pain killers after I had my daughter via c-section because I was afraid while breastfeeding.

@t142 I'm against taking anything, even before I was pregnant/nursing. But thats just me.

I've taken antibiotics while pregnant, and while breastfeeding twice. 😐😐😐😐
