Seeing my endocrinologist this morning. Nervous to see how my blood work is. I have thyroiditis due to pregnancy and my thyroid is twice the normal size. If you haven't checked your thyroid after pregnancy I suggest you do it now! It can become very serious. I didn't find out until my son was a year old. All that time I was extremely tired, dizzy and moody. My metabolism was all over the place and periods irregular, not to mention my sex drive was non existent 👎🏼 Definitely something you want to take care of!

@smash6684, that's awesome that he's kept them normal! Hope it continues to go well for you 😊

Yeah my doctor told me not to get pregnant and if I did I'd have to take a double dose of meds. It sucks because once your thyroid goes bad there's no coming back lol. I was told that the swelling will never decrease and if it were to get any bigger I'd have to have them removed. Just horrible feeling knowing your body isn't making enough of something so you have to take meds to regulate yourself. Seems so unnatural!

I actually got radio active iodine treatment for my thyroid and they told me not to get pregnant for 6-8 months and I got pregnant like 5 months after🙈 unfortunately the procedure didn't do enough and I still had to take medicine while pregnant and get blood work done
