PLEASE HELP!!! so I went to the medical office to add my daughter onto my iehp. Which I should of done when she was born but her dad decided to add her onto his private insurance..well me not knowing she's covered by me for 1 year I didn't fill it the paper work..well I go in the office side note: (I'm undocumented) and I have no shame in saying so..I came into this country at age 1. Well I tell the medical worker I don't have a social reason why I'm not working..and she says right because your an illegal?? I mean undoc. You don't have a social.. I could tell after I said I was undoc. She had little to no care in helping, and even said I should of reported my daughters birth, and if my bf makes enough money and claims me as a dependent on his taxes I could lose my medical.. which since it's restricted only covers emergencies and pregnancies. I felt belittled by this lady, like I wasn't important enough to get help. Side note: she also mentioned why medical give undocumented people restricted medical.. her words the goverment doesn't want sick people running around the country, so their more lose in providing medical for undocs. Idk what to do?? Should I report her?? How do I even go about doing so..

It's about how she said it..and how she acted towards me once she knew I was undocumented. She kept cutting me off, saying ugh huh yeah okay. Her attitude towards me was terrible, like she had little to no interest in helping me.

@sunflowerchildmamaa, I'm going to call iehp main office tomorrow see what they say.. I know I shouldn't of felt the way I felt leaving that office..but I second guessed it, thinking maybe I was being over dramatic..never had that happen to me the feeling definitely SUCKS!!!

@lezlie527, it does love. And unfortunately it's more common than we realize. But yes. Report it. Regardless of ones immigration status she shouldn't have acted the way she did. That's why there's sooo many people like that that don't ever get called out for their bs. Bc often times we just stay mad without saying anything. I say we, bc I myself was an immigrant. Came to this country undocumented and as a minor. It's better to speak up mamma. We can't stay shunned. Specially with little ones right behind us looking at our every move n

I can understand if she accused you of something that wasnt true.... but it still sucks she was rude about it... i would have said something right then and there.

The workers at the medical office can be real bitches and very rude!. If she came at you wrong you should definitely report it..maybe once she finds out someone reported her she'll be more careful of what she says and how she says it to others

I would report her. I'm actually going to report my worker to because she didn't do her job so now me and my daughter haven't had insurance since July 1. These people honestly don't care because they aren't struggling like we are. That woman had no right to speak to you rudely because you are undocumented. Also off subject can you get your documents since you've been here your whole life?
