Oh I feel much more relaxed about it now I'm glad Harriet's better from it too thank you @happychamp16 x

She cryed for a minute or 2 and was a little grumpy for the rest of the day but that was it and then within a few days she started to take more in her bottles, was more content and slept much longer the change was unbelievable 🙂 the lady who freed harriets tongue also told us that sometimes a tongue tie can also affect speech later on down the line and that she herself was tongue tied which was why she had a lisp so she thinks we did the right thing and it's better when their smaller cause it's forgot about and a much easier process then when their older x

@happychamp16 oh good I hope he's the same then he was the same they found it at birth and he couldn't latch at all to begin with but it's not been too bad upto now he's the same he can not take his tommee tippee bottles the only ones he can take are some cheap Asda ones, at least I know someone's been in same position then and it's helped! How was she during and after it was she in any pain hun? That's all I'm worried about x

Harriet had tongue tie hun and arlo sounds the exact same way she was, hers was spotted within minutes of her being born but because she was being bottle fed they said it wouldn't be an issue but omg it turned out to be such a problem she couldn't take to her tommee bottles so had to get her mam bottles which helped but she still could only take small amounts at a time and was waking up every 1 to 2 hours and struggling to drink, her tongue snip was so straight forward and she come on leaps and bounds after that x

@srose1989 they'll just cut it I think I asked her if he'd be in pain and she said only for a split second just like an injection but it'll be worth it and he can drink his bottle straight after it so that will defo stop the greedy sod from crying 😂 xxx

@srose1989 it's that bit of skin under your tongue what keeps it in place it's really tight on Arlo they found it when he was born so he always struggled breastfeeding but now he's struggling to take bottle too xxx

@linda1995 aww what a shame I was the same I wasn't going to get it done unless it affected his speech incase i was causing him any unnecessary pain for no reason but this past week he can barely take bottles and is really struggling to feed and it looks so so tight when he cries or puts out his tongue so I thought I'll just try to get it done and see if it helps him, hopefully she doesn't need it doing then I'm dreading seeing it done x

@linda1995 I just told them about it affecting his feeding and how I'm barely getting any sleep due to him being hungry from limited feeding and that I'd tried to contact my HV several times to no avail so they got me a quick appointment thankfully, you could go private couldn't you but it's so extortionate for a simple cut not everyone's got a spare 200 laying about x
