Is there any truth behind the High HR = Girl & Low HR = Boy? Everyone is telling me I'm having a boy, but I'm really hoping for a girl and the HR at my first ultrasound today was 124.

That's high for 5 weeks

Mine was at freaking 98 at 7weeks

That was with my last pregnancy though, it ended in January

No its not its just a myth. Heart rate has nothing to do with it. My daughters heart rate has been all over the place. Higher, lower, in the middle, it doesn't matter.

My babys heart rates been high the entire time and I'm having a boy I don't think the heart rate has anything to do with gender but everyone did the same thing to me. Kept telling me I was having a girl cause of how high it was and here I am with a son lol

See this says at 6-7 weeks the HR is usually 90-110 and you're 5 weeks with hr of 124. I don't think that's low, plus the HR increases each day and then starts to lower after 10 weeks

@starliightt, I just reached 6 weeks today, I'm not sure why it hasn't changed
Leslie·
Oh okay! Well it's still a high HR even though it's just a myth, you wouldn't be able to use the Hr method until after the HR starts tapering off and staying consistent after about 10 weeks. 😊

I heard that was bull. The who carrying high/low thing is old wives tale. It can depend on ur height how high/low ur carrying
