Question ladies: Do you get checked for dilation if you have a scheduled c-section?

He wanted to push the c section as late as he could and wanted to make sure the baby didn't try and sneak out before then. I was 39 weeks. He checked me at 37 and 38 and the night before the surgery

I figured they wouldn't even bothers, since baby is not coming out through the birth canal. Ugh not looking forward to it, it hurts!

Yes. I have gotten checked weekly since 36 weeks. That way if body is progressing, they will know before its too late.

More than likely you'll get checked to make sure baby doesn't want to come out sooner than your surgery date.

@noahs.mommy i hope she's right, I didn't go into labor with my daughter until I was 39 weeks 1 day had her 3 days later. She said if I see any signs of labor to go directly to labor and delivery

@lezlie527 is it safe for you to have a vbac?

@noahs.mommy i really wanted a bag, but they told me they didn't want to put me or the baby at risk. My c section scar isn't fully healed from my daughter. I got pregnant 2 months after she was born, they don't want to risk my uterus rupturing while pushing. My babies will be 10 months and 3 weeks apart.

@lezlie527 thats weird that she wouldn't check you just to be sure baby doesn't try to sneak out.
