It might just be a mommy instinct or maybe I'm just crazy but I just feel like my breastmilk isn't enough! We haven't been to the doctors in about 3 months because my insurance was terminated the last time we showed up so I'm waiting for a new insurance card at the moment! If so I probably would have started solids but I wanna wait for the ok from her pediatrician. Should I start supplementing with formula!??? Any mamas who supplement please message me or comment below your thoughts 💭
That makes sense! I don't even leak anymore! 😂 @kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom
After a few months of breastfeeding you won't have that "full" feeling in your breasts and baby's eating habits will change, but as long as you're nursing on demand your body will be making enough for her. And as already pointed out, pumping output isn't the same as how much your baby gets out from nursing. Pumps don't stimulate milk production like your baby nursing does.
Not everyone can get a huge freezer stash. I only had one because my baby was in the nicu. Anyway, even comfort nursing sends signals to your body to make more milk. If you're worried you might be able to go to your local WIC office and talk to them about doing a weighted fees (where they weigh baby before and after nursing) but as long as baby is growing I wouldn't worry about it.
Okay. That makes me feel better! thanks girl! @ashleydunn
I stopped pumping and only nurse on demand. Pumping only stressed me out and we are still breastfeeding at 1 :)
@mothernaturexx4, pumping is no indication of milk. Baby will always be able to get more.. 3 oz is a good amount. My 1 year old still wont drink more than 3 Oz at one feeding
I do nurse her on demand! I can tell the difference from when she just wants comfort or when she's hungry but then I also feel like I don't produce enough milk. I see girls who have freezers filled with milk & it kinda freaks me out cause I'm lucky if I can pump 3 oz a day while exclusively breastfeeding 😅 @tahtahme, @ashleydunn,
Baby is probably getting enough breastmilk. Babies suckle for other reasons other than hunger. As for solids it's best to wait until at least 6 months when baby's tummy is fully developed
I never supplemented, and I am a doula who believes strongly that if your kid is over 1 month old, they will ask to eat when they need it, and you can make enough 99% of the time....BUT it is also about your own personal peace and sanity as a mom. If you are breastfeeding on demand, but your heart is scared, then you need to eliminate that stress from your life and just supplement! Good luck mama 💜
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.

Why do you feel your milk isn't enough? If she's gaining weight, and have enough wet diapers. It's plenty.
