My baby shower is on Saturday and I'm stressing about it. My sister and best friend are hosting it so I really don't have to do any of the work. The stressful part is I wanted a small gathering of my close friends and family and it's now at about 100 people and my sister has decided to spend tons of money. It makes me feel uncomfortable. I couldn't really afford to have one on my own seeing as I haven't worked in a few months and we are living off my SO income. I offered to pay for some of the basics but since there are now so many people the basics are adding up. I don't like asking my partner for money because he stresses about it already and we don't need anymore problems. My best friend is also short on funds and feels bad that she can't help out more. Everything is already booked and deposits have been paid. I don't know how to tell her I can't afford anymore since she's already doing so much.
