Once again...hubby treats me as if I don't know anything, makes me feel like crap, and gets frustrated with me if I'm uncomfortable about a decision for my daughter. Example:
She's teething and he wants to rub actual alcohol on her gums. I'm not comfortable with that. But he got pissy at me and put words in my mouth. Ugh....
ANY amount of alcohol can make a babies throat go numb and prevent them from being able to swallow or have complications with swallowing. Plus a babies body isn't designed to process any amount of alcohol through their blood stream. Plus imagine putting straight whiskey into your mouth let alone a child's mouth. @txmomma16
A lot of my family told me to do that as well and I was like NO!!!!!!! It's dangerous alcohol is not for a baby. He can't be that naive. They have teething rings for babies, you can freeze them and it's for them to naw and chew on.
@j_erin you're welcome, and remember only use milk in the baby teether for now until you introduce solid foods to your daughter
@j_erin Well the idea is very dangerous explain to him that alcohol can go down your baby's throat and num the throat and cause problems with swallowing and will cause your baby to choke
@rikki.ferguson @geekymomma13 @amberjacq thank you for support. He basically yelled at me because I was "being stupid for thinking I'm telling you how to raise our baby" he put words in my mouth when I tried saying I'm not comfortable with the idea
@amberjacq is that teething feeder pacifier good for three months old? My daughter is teething early
Same👆 my mil suggested it. I was like "i dont....No, that's okay i have orajel for her" stand by your decision.
You can get pacifiers, put teething rings in the fridge, get a blanket or toy the baby likes to chew. A lot of better choices out there, alcohol really isnt going to do anything, grown people dont even put it on their teeth like wisdom teeth when coming in or tooth aches because its just NOT effective, it can even make the open part of the gum feel worse.
