Uhcht!!!!!... I HATE it when my man and his ex want me to drop everything and watch their boys for them without asking me if it's ok... But when I try to ask what's going on with school... I get no response! 😑 I used to have a good relationship with the boys until their Mom, Dad and them kept telling me that I'm not the parent. I'm just a glorified babysitter!!!!... It's ok for my man to not want his kids for some weekends... But if I don't want to watch them... He's super offended! How... Do... I... Get... pass this frustrating stuff, get the respect that I want/deserve all while doing what's best for the kids? 😩 Did I mention that I have an 11 week old baby & trying to run a gym from home... Two hours away?!!!! 🤦🏻♀️😤

BM told the judge ( we have court\custody order) that she doesn't want me correcting, or parenting my SD at all that the time she has with her father is his time with her not mine😬 .... I'm like oh OK but my money, my food, my extras that I give is ok but I'm not her parent.

Just had this convo with my husband his baby momma thinks it's all fine and dandy for me to by clothes, food, do home work, take care of her (SD) while he is working (he is a tattoo artist so there are numerous times that he has sessions or pieces that take 12 hours to do) but if I go to correct my SD her mom gets all pod. She say's I'm not the mother bla bla bla and its only my husband and her (BM) can correct or punish. Gets me so mad. Luckily hubby is on the same page as me now
Shit I wouldn't . I'm very passionate about school and education. Whether is my children or someone else's. She would just have to be pissed . That's ridiculous that she would rather her children fail and not learn Than to get the help they need. Thats selfish and petty and only hurting the kids in the long run....I know you're probably trying to respect your husband but he would just have to bite the bullet and support my decision . He's married to you not her and he should always take your side . It's his children to so he should have a say and also want what's best for them !
@momofdeuce, I told my guy that I'm an all or nothing kinda person... And he told me I had to lay off a little because their mom didn't want me to be as involved with their schooling... THEY ARE FAILING!!!!!!!!! 😩 Why wouldn't she want them to have all the help in the world?!!! I don't know how to hopscotch around their boundaries.
I would put my foot down and tell them just what you said. Its either all or nothing . You shouldn't be treated like a babysitter and until they can respect you as a coparent then you shouldn't have to be responsible for THEIR children .
I had to tell hubby ..."I'm going to raise all of our children the same that includes correcting them, teaching them, loving them, and helping them all the same no special treatment.
