Personally, I feel like this is how parents need to be with their children. She's only 2, but we're very civil for her sake. One might say we're friends, but we're just being civil. He turns 22 tomorrow and wanted to see her for a bit. He said that's all he wants for his birthday and that it'd be pointless to have a birthday party if she wasn't part of it. I told him it's definitely fine, but only if his mom wont be present for his and Samira's get together time. Parents need to be like this for their child's sake. I know it's not like this for everyone. I know. I used to be in that situation. It sucked. But we worked past our hatred and dislike of each other and made it work and we're still making it work.
I'm going to let Samira pick out a gift for him. Might not be anything a 22 year old male would typically like, but it'd be from his daughter. She's also got a few pictures colored up for him :) I love this kind of civil friendship where we coparent as mother and father instead of baby momma and baby daddy. Samira deserves to know her parents in this manner

@nariyahsmomma I wish more people would. I have this mindset because I wish my dad was this way. Instead, he degrades and bad mouths my mom and makes it absolute hell for my siblings and I. I don't want my daughter to be caught in the middle like that and experience the depression and feeling of not being good enough because of parents hating each other. And I hate seeing that war behind a child's eyes when their parents dislike eachother. It leaves you feeling not good enough because you feel your parent hates you because they hate the other parent, yknow?

My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
