As of today, I am officially past due with no dilation, no substantial thinning, never lost a mucus plug and have no other signs that labor is near. Is there an average amount of time doctors will let you go past due before intervention? Also, how did you ladies cope with the impatience of going past your due date?

I think if you haven't gone in labor 2 weeks after ur due date, they will induce

At 41 weeks I was still 100% closed and they induced me the next day, but when I got to the hospital and they got me settled in my room and on the monitors, they kept asking if I was in any pain. I said no but started asking why. My contractions were a minute apart 😂 then I laughed so hard I ended up breaking my water.

I had my first at 40 weeks 6 days after my water broke. I ended up with a c section which isn't the end of the world...my body just wouldn't dilate....but all this talk about c sections being terrible isn't true...if your body wont cooperate and its last resort then thats what needs to be done. I have a scheduled c section with this child and its scheduled for a reason..good luck and nature will take its course

I delivered at 40+6 by choice they wanted to induce at 39 weeks and I was not having that...I went and got my hair done 2 days after my due date, still worked, and enjoyed my time because I trusted my body... It wasn't easy but for me it was more important to go naturally than run the high risk of a c section that happens with induction

What she said and if baby doesn't come within another week your doc will most likely set up a day to induce you good luck 😀
